What to do right after water damage?

The first few hours matter. In order:

  1. Shut off the water supply if the leak is active and secure the area (electricity, furniture).
  2. Photograph the damage — ceiling, walls, floor, affected belongings: this evidence supports your file.
  3. Report the claim to your property manager and insurer within your policy deadlines.
  4. Call a professional for drying and restoration: the sooner you act, the less the damage spreads.

    Neutralising water marks and stains, with an antifungal treatment where needed to stop mould from developing.

    Stain-blocking coat

    A dedicated stain-blocking coat prevents marks from bleeding through — without it, the water mark eventually reappears through the paint.

    Repainting

    Surface preparation, the right primer, then a finish — matt, velvet or lacquered enamel in wet rooms — consistent with the existing work.

    Insurer & property-manager coordination

    We document the job and send the detailed quote to your insurer and property manager on request, to keep your file moving.
